Seneca Valley’s Strong Fourth Quarter Defeats Urbana 70 – 58 (PHOTOS)
The Screaming’ Eagles were locked in a seesaw contest the entire game versus Urbana High School of Frederick county Tuesday night in Germantown, Maryland with Seneca Valley coming out on top 70 – 58.
Seneca Valley played a half court pressuring man to man defense much of the game as Urbana played zone defense attempting to slow down Seneca’s up tempo offense. The Screaming’ Eagles outscored Urbana 13-7 in the final three minutes and were too much for the Hawks to handle. The fourth quarter was the key factor in Seneca’s success outscoring Urbana 23 – 14 in that quarter. Seneca scoring leaders were #1 Trey Lucas with 19 points, #3 Brandon Simpson with 17 points, and #2 Triston Price with 16 points.
Seneca Valley now moves on in the Section #1 playoffs of the MPSSAA and will play host to Oakdale High School (Frederick County) Thursday, March 2.
