Montgomery County Police Report Incidents

Rockville: 

An attempted commercial burglary occurred at the Diamond Nails at 905 Rockville Pike in the early morning hours of Feb. 16. A 26-year-old man who has an unconfirmed address and a 28-year-old man from Silver Spring were arrested.

A commercial burglary occurred at the La Mexicana restaurant at 16143 Shady Grove Road in the early morning hours of Feb. 17. Forced entry; property was taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Midway Beer and Wine at 16057 Frederick Road in the early morning hours of Feb. 17. Forced entry; cash was taken.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 500 block of Monet Drive between about 4 p.m. Feb. 12 and approximately 6 p.m. Feb. 15. Force was reported in one event, unknown means of entry into the other vehicle; coins were taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 14200 block of Travilah Road between approximately 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14 and noon Feb. 16. No signs of forced entry; property was taken.

An attempted theft from vehicle occurred in the 14800 block of Coles Chance Road in the early morning hours of Feb. 17. Arrested were a 22-year-old man from Burtonsville, and a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from Silver Spring.

Bethesda:

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Feb. 13 and Feb. 17. Affected streets included Calvert Place, Kensington Parkway, Montgomery Avenue, Ewell Avenue and West Stanhope Road. Force was reported in one event, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Lord & Taylor at 11311 Rockville Pike in the early morning hours of Feb. 16. Forced entry; property was taken.

Two residential burglaries occurred in the following areas:In the 5200 block of Lawn Way about 2:30 p.m. Feb. 16. Forced entry; nothing was taken. And in the 6700 block of Brigadoon Drive about 7:28 p.m. Feb. 16. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

Silver Spring:

An attempted commercial burglary occurred at the Kao Thai Restaurant at 8650 Colesville Road in the early morning hours of Feb. 20.

A residential burglary occurred in the 8700 block of First Avenue between about 10:30 a.m. Feb. 17 and about 8 p.m. Feb. 18. Forced entry; property was taken.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Feb. 15 and Feb. 21. Affected streets included Sligo Avenue, Fenton Street, Eastern Avenue and Colesville Road. Force was reported in four events, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Feb. 14 and Feb. 17. Affected streets included Sligo Creek Parkway, Croydon Court, Manchester Road and Ellsworth Heights Street. Force was reported in all events; property was taken.

An armed robbery occurred in the area of Flower Avenue and Piney Branch Road in the early morning hours of Feb. 17. One of the suspects displayed a weapon and took a man’s cash.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Feb. 15 and Feb. 20. Affected streets included Piney Branch Road, Osage Street, Barron Street and Quebec Street. Force was reported in four events, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked; cash, property, and vehicle parts were taken.

An aggravated assault occurred in the area of Treetop Lane and Old Columbia Pike about 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 19. The perpetrator assaulted the man.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 500 block of Norcross Way about 11:46 a.m. Feb. 20. The burglar is believed to between the ages of 20 and 29.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Feb. 13 and Feb. 20. Affected streets included Stewart Lane, Pretoria Drive and December Drive. Force was reported in one event; cash, property, and vehicle parts were taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 14000 block of Castle Boulevard between about 7:30 p.m. and about 8:30 p.m. Feb. 21. No signs of forced entry, the victim reported that she left her front door unlocked; property was taken.

Wheaton:

A commercial burglary occurred at The Bagelry at 36 Vital Way in the early morning hours of Feb. 22. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 4000 block of Charley Forest Street between about 10:45 a.m. and about 3:10 p.m. Feb. 16. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred between Feb. 15 and Feb. 20. Affected streets included Bar Harbor Place, Gelderland Court, Hillcrest Avenue and Winter Morning Way. Force was reported in one event, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred during this reporting period. Affected streets included Merrifields Drive, Tabiona Circle, Callohan Court, Victor Court and Jingle Lane. No force, one vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; cash and property were taken.

A commercial burglary by two males occurred at the Ben Yehuda Café and Pizzeria at 1370 Lamberton Drive in the early morning hours of Feb. 21. Forced entry; cash was taken.

Two residential burglaries occurred. In the 11700 block of Stonington Place between about 11:40 a.m. Feb. 17 and about 6:20 p.m. Feb. 21. Forced entry; property was taken. And in the 100 block of Saddlerock Court between about 6:30 a.m. Feb. 19 and about 11 p.m. Feb. 21. Forced entry; nothing was taken.

A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 2800 block of Findley Road about 7:29 p.m. Feb. 17. Three teenagers assaulted a man and took his property.

Germantown:

Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in the early morning hours of Feb. 19. Affected streets included Found Stone Road, Emerald Drive and Bunyan Circle. No force, all vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked; cash and property were taken.

Montgomery Village:

Two commercial burglaries occurred. At the Walnut Hill Liquor and Wine at 16535 S. Frederick Road in the early morning hours of Feb. 17. Forced entry; property was taken. And at the Don Pollo restaurant at 9083 Gaither Road in the early morning hours of Feb. 17. Forced entry; cash was taken.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 18900 block of Diary Road between about 8 p.m. Feb. 17 and about 7 a.m. Feb. 18. No force, unknown means of entry; property was taken.

A residential burglary occurred at a home in the 20800 block of Bell Bluff Road and a vehicle was stolen from the same home between about 8 p.m. Feb. 17 and about 3 p.m. Feb. 18. No signs of forced entry, the garage and vehicle were both reported to have been left unlocked.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the beat on different days and times on. Affected streets included the 10800 block of Badger Drive and the 10800 block of Brookridge Court. Force was reported in one event, unknown means of entry into the other vehicles; property was taken.

A man and woman are believed to have burgled a home in the 7800 block of Potters Mill Court about 2:15 p.m. Feb. 15. Forced entry; property was taken.

Three vehicles were stolen in the following locations: In the 7500 block of Laytonia Drive between about 9 p.m. Feb. 14 and about 11 a.m. Feb. 15. Unknown entry. In the 8000 block of Spiceberry Lane about 5:50 p.m. Feb. 15. The vehicle was reported to have been left unlocked and running with the keys in the ignition. In the 8200 block of Beechcraft Avenue between Feb. 13 and Feb. 14. The victim reported leaving the vehicle in the area to be picked up by a charity. Unknown entry.
