County Council to Interview Leggett’s Pick to Lead DLC on Tuesday (VIDEO)
Montgomery County Council members are scheduled to interview Robert Dorfman on Tuesday. Dorfman is County Executive Ike Leggett’s pick to lead the Department of Liquor Control.
You may remember that former DLC Director George Griffin left the post last year, and Fariba Kassiri, assistant chief administrative officer, was named acting director of the department.
The appointment of Dorfman is subject to confirmation by the Montgomery County Council.
County Council President Roger Berliner was asked about the appointment at his weekly briefing on Monday:
Dorfman, a North Potomac resident, will be paid a salary of $220,000 if approved as DLC director.
