Montgomery County police have released a surveillance photo of a suspected vehicle that officers believe is connected to the vandalism of the Quince Orchard High School football field that happened on Oct. 13th.

According to police, school administrative staff reported that part of the football field had been vandalized to a Montgomery County Police School Resource Officer (SRO) on Oct. 13th. The SRO found that a “caustic substance” was used to create a swastika and images of male genitalia on the grass of the field. Police believe the vandalism to be hate-based.

The SRO reviewed the schools’ surveillance video, saw the suspected vehicle driving into the school parking lot shortly after midnight on Oct. 13th and then leaving the school later. Police describe the suspected vehicle as a dark colored, mid-size, four-door sedan. Police also noted that the surveillance footage indicated that the driver’s side headlight appeared to be brighter than the passenger side showing that the the driver’s side headlight may be misaligned.

Police have been in contact with the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington and The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington about the vandalism.
