National Black Memorabilia, Fine Art & Crafts Show Planned for This Weekend (PHOTO)

The 32nd Annual National Black Memorabilia, Fine Art and Crafts Show will take place this weekend at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg. The event presents an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about African-American history and culture.

Vendors from across the country will set up educational booths on a range of topics and historical figures including the Black Panther Party, the Tuskegee Airmen, Malcolm X, George Washington Carver and more.  The event will also feature artifacts from slavery, Reconstruction, Jim Crow and the Civil Rights eras.

There will be an opportunity to meet with Negro League Baseball players and the members of the Tuskegee Airmen. Residents will have the opportunity to purchase art, black memorabilia, crafts, books, civil rights memorabilia and more.

The event will take place on April 9 and 10 at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds which is located at 16 Chestnut Street in Gaithersburg. Doors open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission for the show is $7 per person and free for students.
