Ohio State Buckeyes Hand Maryland a Big Ten Loss (PHOTOS)

Ohio State rallied in the second half to hand the Maryland Lady Terps their first loss ever in the Big Ten conference.  Down by 3 at the half, OSU outscored a tired Terrapins team by 12 to take a 80-71 win in College Park.

After the game, Maryland’s head coach Brenda Frese said about how great it was to celebrate Maryland’s 10th anniversary of the National Championship win in 2006.  However, today’s Terps were outplayed by an inspired an uptempo team in Ohio State.  Head Coach Kevin McGuff believes that his team’s tough pre-conference schedule helped prepare the Buckeyes for the Terps.

The Buckeyes’ Kelsey Mitchell led all scorers with 29, and Paint Branch alumni Brene Moseley led the Terps with 20 points.
