Korean Community to Thank County Executive for Grants in FY15 Budget
The Korean community will thank Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett for including in his FY15 Recommended Budget community grants and Department of Health and Human Services assistance to four organizations totaling $543,301.
The event will take place on March 21 at 10:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room in the Executive Office Building in Rockville.
The organizations are the Korean Association of the State of Maryland, the Korean-American Association of Washington Metropolitan Area, the Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington and the Korean-American Senior Citizens Association.
Attending the event will be Chung Pak, immediate past commissioner, Maryland Higher Education Commission; Linda Han, president, Korean-American Association of Washington Metropolitan Area; Harold Pyon, chair, Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington; Jiyong Cho, executive director, Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington; James Suh, president, Korean American Association of the State of Maryland; Dr. Hyun S. Chung, vice president, Korean American Association of the State of Maryland; and Hee Kyu Park, immediate past president of the Korean-American Senior Citizens Association.
