Police Seek Help in Identifying Silver Spring Bank Robbery Suspect (Photo)
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department, Major Crimes Division, continue to investigate a bank robbery that occurred on Jan. 21 at a Wells Fargo Bank in Silver Spring.
Detectives released a surveillance photograph of the suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.
According to police, on Jan. 21 at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers responded to the Wells Fargo bank located at 8701 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring for the report of a bank robbery.
By police report, the investigation revealed that the male suspect entered the bank, implied that he had a weapon, and demanded cash. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and exited the bank. He was last seen running on Fenwick Street.
Police describe the suspect as a black male, approximately 6’00″ tall, with a medium build.
