Montgomery County police are investigating a fatal shooting that was reported at approximately 7:46 a.m. on Oct. 12 in the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive, just south of Route 118 in Germantown.
According to police, a 49-year-old Germantown woman was transported from the scene to the hospital where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.
Detectives are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
Police said they have no suspect information at this point. According to police, the shooting occurred near a busy convenience store and callers to 911 reported hearing the sound of several gunshots.
