UPDATED: 93-Year-Old Woman Dies From Injuries in Car Crash
UPDATED A 93-year-old woman has died from injuries she sustained in a one vehicle collision on Dec. 5 in Bethesda, according to Montgomery County police officers.
The car crash happened around 9 a.m. at 8015 Whittier Boulevard.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a 2003 Buick Century was making a left turn from eastbound Whittier Court onto northbound Whittier Boulevard, when for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree that was located in front of 8015 Whittier Boulevard. Police said the vehicle then rolled over.
The driver of the vehicle, identified by police as Audrey Sloope Bell, was transported to the hospital where police said she later died from her injuries.
According to police, the fatal collision remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240.773.6620.
