5 Things to Know Today, May 28, in Montgomery County

Today is Friday, May 28, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County:

1. County Reopens: Montgomery County lifted its COVID-19 restrictions today at 6 a.m. Capacity limits are no longer in place and the county will follow any state requirements or restrictions. Face coverings must still be worn on public transportation, in schools, health care settings, youth camps, childcare facilities, and county-owned and operated buildings. Businesses and workplaces can set their own face-covering requirements. More information is available on the county website and in the County Executive Elrich’s weekly message video.

2. COVID-19 Testing and Vaccine Clinics: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at eight testing sites today, and eight sites this weekend. Montgomery County clinics are now vaccinating Marylanders age 12 and older. Appointments may be made online here.

3. Did You Know? If you were vaccinated in the state you can receive a digital copy of your vaccination record on the website ImmuNet.

4. Round House Extends One Woman Play: There is still time to see the one-woman play, Throw Me On the Burnpile and Light Me Up. Round House Theatre announced this week the play would be available for on-demand streaming through Sunday, June 13. Tickets may be purchased online.
