5 Things to Know Today, May 14, in Montgomery County
Today is Friday, May 14, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County:
1. COVID-19 Vaccine: Montgomery County clinics are now vaccinating Marylanders age 12 and older. Appointments may be made online here.
2. County COVID-19 Testing Clinics: Free COVID-19 testing is available throughout the county at seven testing sites today, and 11 sites this weekend. Health officials continue to stress the importance of testing to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
3. University Blvd Lane Closures: Temporary overnight lane closures on University Blvd at West Park Drive are scheduled to start today for about four weeks due to Purple Line construction. Work may take place at night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays.
4. COVID Restrictions: All Maryland indoor and outdoor dining establishments can resume normal operations Saturday, May 15. This will not apply to Montgomery County. Restrictions in the county are based on the percentage of residents vaccinated.

5. Rockville Farmers Market: The Rockville Farmers Market opens for the 2021 season this weekend. The hours are Saturday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The market is located at the corner of MD 28 and Monroe Street.
