Youth Job Fair Set for April 5 in Silver Spring

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will help kick-off the 2014 “Let’s Get It Started Youth Job Fair” from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5 at the Silver Spring Civic Building. Presented by the Montgomery County Workforce Investment Board’s Youth Council, the Latin American Youth Center/Maryland Multicultural Youth Centers, and the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, the annual event is expected to attract hundreds of local youth ages 16 to 21.

Over fifty area employers will be participating, including Bath & Body Works, CVS/Caremark, Giant Food, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, PNC Bank, Vector Marketing and many more. Employers will meet one-on-one with job applicants during on-site interviews and participants will also learn about internship and apprenticeship opportunities and local employment-related community resources.
