Youth Invited to Voice Concerns with County Council During Town Hall

Youth in the county will have the chance to voice their concerns with the Montgomery County Council during the seventh annual Youth Town Hall meeting scheduled for Nov. 29.

A pre-meeting reception will begin at 6 p.m. where student will have a chance to meeting with councilmembers in an informal setting first.

Following the reception, the youth town hall will begin at 7 p.m. in the Council’s Third Floor Hearing Room at the Council Office Building located at 100 Maryland Avenue in Rockville.

“Youth in Montgomery County care about local government,” Montgomery County Council President Roger Berliner, said.  “Their voices and perspectives are important to many major decisions the Council makes, especially when it comes to education. The Council’s Youth Town Hall gives Councilmembers a chance to hear directly from students about how they view the important issues facing our County.”

Students from both public and private schools and students from local colleges are invited to attend.

Students who attend are able to earn student service learning (SSL) hours.
