Young Martial Artists Build Character in Silver Spring (VIDEO)

Long before the Kung Fu Panda movies became hits, a martial arts grandmaster began teaching children the Chinese art of self-defense. Kicking and punching is just one of the skills the young dragons learn at Shaolin Wu-Shu Training Center in Silver Spring. My MC Media’s Phyllis Armstrong reports on the school that builds character.

Some of the students at the Shaolin Wu-Shu Training Center will compete in an international tournament August 12 and 13. The US Capitol Classics is being held at the Gaylord Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD. It is one of the top martial arts open competitions in the country.
