Workers Rescued at NIH After Scaffolding Collapse (Photos)

UPDATED: Two workers laying bricks were rescued today at the NIH Building when the scaffolding they were standing on partially collapsed about 75 feet above the ground, according to Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Pete Piringer.

The two workers were lowered to the ground safely using a ladder and were being evaluated.

Piringer said the workers were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The workers were originally dispatched as window washers but the information was later corrected according by Piringer as workers laying bricks.
