Women’s History Month (Photo)

The Montgomery County Council celebrated Women’s History Month on March 19 with a proclamation recognizing the event that “focuses on the courage, foresight and creativity of women of every race, class and ethnic background who have contributed to our county and our nation.” County Council President Nancy Navarro and Council member Nancy Floreen presented the proclamation.

Here’s a few fun facts: Women make up 52 percent of the population in Montgomery County and represent nearly half the county’s workforce.
