Woman Swipes Shopping Cart Full of Merchandise, Rockville Police Say

Rockville Police say they are looking for a woman who stole a shopping cart full of merchandise.

According to the weekly police crime summary, the woman entered the store, in the 1500 block of Rockville Pike, on April 18 between 8:36 p.m. and 8:41 p.m.

She filled a shopping cart full of merchandise and then left the store without paying.

The woman is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, 120 pounds, thin build, brown eyes, black hair in a ponytail, light brown skin, and was last seen wearing white pants and black jacket, possibly a North Face fleece jacket.

Arrests

On April 21 a request was submitted to the Montgomery County Police Department’s Special Victims Investigation Division for a 16-year-old boy to be charged with theft, after an incident that occurred in the in the 800 block of Rockville Pike.

On April 22 between 6:44 a.m. and 8:35 a.m., a 46-year-old woman was arrested for second-degree assault, after an incident that occurred in the 600 block of Blandford Street.

Incidents

1200 block of Autre Court, a person somehow entered a home between noon April 3 and 7 p.m. April 17. Once inside, the person took a television, a laptop, a tablet and a safe (containing two handguns, ammunition, and cash.)

5700 block of Crawford Drive, the complainant reported that a person removed an iPod, loose change and a pair of sunglasses from a vehicle on April 21.

200 block of Prettyman Drive, the complainant reported that a person removed patio furniture from a yard between 11 a.m. April 10 and 9 a.m. April 17.

700 block of Hungerford Drive, a person gained entry by breaking a glass front door to a business on April 17 between 1 a.m. and 1:20 a.m. Once inside, the person removed cigarettes and lottery tickets.

Unit block of Mannakee Street, the complainant reported that a person took a laptop from a conference room between noon April 18 and 2 p.m. April 20.

600 block of Lofstrand Lane, the complainant reported that a man took a vehicle from a business on April 20 between 1:25 a.m. and 1:34 a.m. The man is described 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, thin build, short brown hair and last seen wearing gray pants, gray sweatshirt and gray baseball cap.

600 block of Hungerford Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed a wallet from an unsecured desk on April 20 between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Unit block of Maryland Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed an unattended cell phone from a parking garage on April 21 between 5:00 p.m. and 5:10 p.m.

1800 block of McAuliffe Drive, the complainant reported that someone removed two tires from a vehicle on April 22 between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m.
