UPDATE: Police Take Boyfriend Into Custody After Woman Found Dead in White Oak

Update, 6:25 p.m.: Police said the homicide victim, a resident of the home, is identified as Chaunya Michalyn Blackwell, 43.

Arrested was Anthony Miguel Strong, 50.

Update, 2:30 p.m.: A woman died in her White Oak town house, and her 50-year-old boyfriend is in custody, Montgomery County police said.

About 6:48 a.m. Tuesday, the man called the Emergency Communications Center and said he had killed his girlfriend and that he was currently outside of his residence, police said.

Officers responded to the home in the 11000 block of Bradbury Manor Court and found the many outside the home, police said. He was taken into custody without incident.

Officers found a 43-year-old woman dead inside of the home with apparent trauma to her body, police said. The victim’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore to determine the cause of death.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect and victim were dating and shared the Bradbury Manor Court home.

The circumstances surrounding this homicide remain under investigation.  The identities of the suspect and victim will be released once the suspect is transported to the Central Processing Unit and is formally charged.

Original post: Montgomery County police are investigating the morning death of a woman in a Silver Spring town house, according to the police Twitter feed.

A man has been arrested outside the home on Bradbury Manor Court, police said. Police responded to a 6:48 a.m. call.

Police found the dead woman inside the home. Police said the man and woman shared the home.
