Winter Storm Update for March 4
Because of the snow, all Montgomery County-provided recycling and trash collections will slide this week and occur one day later than normal. This means Monday collections will be made on Tuesday, etc., with Friday collections occurring on Saturday.
Residents are asked to have their items out at the curb for collection by 7 a.m. Where there are snow banks and parked cars, please place bins, cans, and carts so crews can see them easily from the street.
Snowy and icy road conditions are expected tomorrow (March 4) morning, so the trucks may run a bit behind their normal schedule. If a street is not passable in the morning, the crew will attempt another pick up again at the end of the day. Streets remaining unplowed by late Tuesday will be serviced first-thing Wednesday morning. By the end of the day on Wednesday, the Division of Solid Waste Services expects all Monday and Tuesday routes to be complete.

The Shady Grove Transfer Station and Recycling will be open on a normal schedule.
Ride On update
Ride On bus service will operate under a normal schedule on Tuesday. Patrons should anticipate some delays due to icy roads.
Residents with questions about their County-provided recycling collections and/or Ride On service should call the Montgomery County Customer Service Center, which will remain open all night, at 311 (out-of-County: 240.777.0311, TTY: 301.251.4850).
