Wind Chill Advisory for Montgomery County

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for Montgomery County from 6 a.m. on Jan. 6 to 6 p.m. on Jan. 7.

According to the advisory, the wind chill will be between five below to 15 below zero.

The lowest wind chills are expected to occur after midnight tonight through Tuesday morning. Temperatures will fall into the teens
during the evening and lows will be in the single digits tonight and highs 10 to 15 above on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Winds are expected to
blow from the west at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

Dangerously low wind chills could then lead to frostbite and hypothermia Monday evening through Tuesday.

If you venture outdoors make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
