‘Wimpy Kid’ Author Hosts Drive-Thru Meet and Greet at Blair High School

Jeff Kinney, the author of the popular “Diary of Wimpy Kid” series, hosted a unique book release event in Silver Spring Monday night.

Loyalty Bookstore and Montgomery Blair High School hosted Kinney as he promoted the release of his new book, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Deep End”  which came out Tuesday. The author, born in Fort Washington and a University of Maryland graduate, met up with many fans attending the drive-thru “pool party,” where Kinney also gave out signed copies of his new book.

Kinney kept his fans updated as he started his tour, tweeting out “Almost ready to roll! Honk if you see us somewhere between DC and NH.”
