Wheaton Sports Pavilion to Host Women’s World Cup Viewing Party

The Wheaton Sports Pavilion – an indoor turf field – will have an open house during the FIFA’s Women’s World Cup on June 16.

The event is free to the public, and it will include on-site food trucks to purchase food and beverages from as you sit back and enjoy the USA vs. Chile Women’s World Cup match on a blow-up big-screen, at 12 noon. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

There will be special guest appearances during Sunday’s match: Washington Spirit players — who will be cheering on two of their teammates, Rose Lavelle and Mallory Pugh.

The Spirit players will be signing autographs, and those attending will have a chance to win an autographed Spirit jersey.

The event takes place on Father’s Day, a great opportunity to watch a friendly match, socialize, get autographs, and spend time with family.
