Both parks are committed to the safety and well-being of others. As a result, all customers must practice the following safety measures when visiting the parks.

  • Face masks/coverings must be worn at all times. Those under the age of two are exempt from doing so.
  • Individuals are strongly encouraged to stay home if they are not feeling well.
  • To reduce contact, customers are encouraged to pay for their tickets with either credit or debit cards. Contactless train tickets will also be available through ActiveMontgomery.org.
  • Individuals will not be allowed to congregate with others. Only ride the trains with members of the same household.
  • All riders must wait on the designated marked area for each ride.
  • Wait for staff members to direct you to a seat on the train.

While patrons must follow safety precautions, staff members will also abide by certain practices. Staff members will provide constant cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces every two hours. All surfaces will be cleaned with CDC and EPA approved disinfectants. Surfaces include: Credit/Debit pin pad readers, counters, door knobs/handles, computer screens, and keyboards. All employees will wear gloves when performing sterilization procedures.

At this time, the carousel at Wheaton Regional Park remains closed.
