Olney Theatre’s 2014 Season opened Jan. 29 with How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The show runs through Feb. 23. Former Strathmore Artist in Resident Chelsey Green and The Green Project perform at the BlackRock Center for the Arts Saturday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m.

Learn the history of the Boyd Negro School in Montgomery County at a lecture by Elaine Fors-MacKellar at 10 a.m. in Silver Spring. Fors-MacKellar is a life-long resident of Montgomery County currently living in Boyds. Join in the discussion of racial, ethnic and community relations in Montgomery County Saturday, Feb. 1 from 1 – 3 p.m. in Rockville. The Human Rights Commission asks “Do you think a Trayvon Martin-type incident could occur in Montgomery County?”
