Both Gaithersburg and Rockville are hosting party planning expos on Sunday, Jan. 26 for a nominal price. This is your opportunity to tour the historic Kentlands and Glenview Mansions, meet a variety of vendors and sample food. The Kentlands Mansion Party Expo Jan 26 runs from noon to 4 p.m. The Glenview Mansion Bridal Expo Jan. 26 is also open noon to 4 p.m.
Join County Executive Ike Leggett and County Councilmember Roger Berliner to celebrate “Glen Echo Park: Open for Creativity” Jan. 24 at 7 p.m. at the Round House Theatre, 4545 East-West Highway in Bethesda. The fundraiser includes the opportunity to print your own Glen Echo Park T-shirt, enjoy live music by The Crimestoppers and have a glass of “Shutdown Sangria”. Proceeds from the event will help Glen Echo Park’s arts organizations offset the financial losses due to the October 2013 government shutdown.
