A great way to celebrate the holiday season is visiting a local Holiday Light Display or taking a trolley ride with Santa at the National Capital Trolley Museum.

The Metropolitan Ballet Theatre’s production of The Nutcracker continues this weekend. Holiday shows at Olney Theatre continue with The Christmas Carol and The King and I. Olney Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker opens Friday through Dec. 24. Round House Theatre’s comedy The Lyons continues this weekend. Silver Spring Stage’s production of A Christmas Carol opens Friday and runs through Dec. 22.
