Montgomery County is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with many events and activities this weekend. The 14th Annual Gaithersburg St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place Saturday, March 15 at the Washingtonian at 10 a.m. Fillmore’s ShamROCK the Block! presented by McGinty’s and 94.7 Fresh FM occurs Sunday, March 16 at 1 p.m. in Silver Spring.The St. Patrick’s Day Festival in downtown Silver Spring features music, Irish dance and food on the Fountain Plaza from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 17.
The Olney Library reopens Saturday, March 15 at 9 a.m. with the official ribbon cutting ceremony and activities for the family. Here’s a picture taken early Thursday, March 13.
