- Hamilton Leithauser performs a solo show at AMP by Strahtmore at 8 p.m. (This performance is sold out.)
- The Chuck Brown Band performs at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Summer Club at 8 p.m.

- Imagination Stage presents When She had Wings at 1:30 and 4 p.m.
- Olney Theatre’s production of Hay Fever has performances today at 2 and 8 p.m. The show closes tomorrow.

- Gaithersburg Skate Park is hosting the Fall Skate Slam from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Enjoy the bilingual, interactive musical program “Cri-Cri El Grillito Cantor” at the Takoma Park Community Center at 4 p.m.
- Project 360 and Styme perform at Fillmore Silver Spring at 7:30 p.m.
- The New Orchestra of Washington or NOW perform at AMP by Strathmore at 8 p.m.
- The Hot Sardines perform at BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown at 8 p.m.
Sunday, October 4
- The first New Americans Expo is open from noon to 6 p.m. at the Silver Spring Civic Building.
- The Takoma Park Street Festival features over 200 artisans, community groups, children’s actiivities, food vendors, three stages of live music and more from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- County community paper shredding and recycling event at Kennedy High school in Silver Spring from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- The Heroes Walk to Fly 1.5-mile family friendly walk past Walter Reed Medical Center takes place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- The 4th Annual Made in Indonesia Festival takes place at Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department is holding an open house from 1 to 4 p.m.
- Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department open house from 1 to 4 p.m. in Beallsville
- Imagination Stage presents When She had Wings at 1:30 and 4 p.m.
