• Young children will enjoy the Cabin John’s “Eye Spy” Halloween Train at Cabin John Regional Park from 1 to 8 p.m. (weather permitting)
• Enjoy a “Spooky” and “Not-So-Spooky” Halloween skating session at Cabin John Ice Rink or Wheaton Ice Arena
• Otus the Owl will be on hand at the Meadowside Nature Center’s storytime for children ages 2 to 10-years-old at 10 a.m.
• Bring the children to the Green Halloween costume party at the Black Hill Regional Park at 1 p.m. Registration required
• Children ages 12 and younger will enjoy carnival games, music, dancing and more at the Marilyn J. Praisner Community Center’s Halloween Happening at 6:30 p.m.
• The Upper County Community Recreation Center is hosting a family costume party at 6:30 p.m.
• The Mid County Community Recreation Center is hosting a Monster Mash Bash at 7 p.m. for elementary school-aged youth.
• The Comedy and Magic Society perform at Gaithersburg’s Arts Barn at 8 p.m.
• The Rockville Musical Theatre performs Grease at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville at 8 p.m.
• The Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club presents the 2nd Annual Grand Masquerade with Doc Scantlin at 8 p.m.
• AFI Silver presents “Rosemary’s Baby” at 11 p.m.

Saturday, November 1

• Maryland Emancipation Day Celebrations at eight locations around Montgomery County
• Visit the Germantown MARC Train parking lot to find a treasure at the flea market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Participate or just enjoy being a spectator at the Rugged Maniac Obstacle Race in Clarksburg at the High Point Farm
• Join the Mayor and Council of Rockville for a bus & walking tour focused on the city’s plan for Rockville Pike. Begins shortly before 10 a.m.
• BlackRock Center for the Arts presents Fancy Nancy the Musical at 11 a.m.
• Rockville’s Asian Pacific American Task Force is holding an interview skills workshop in Rockville City Hall at 10:30 a.m.
• The Scotland Recreation Center dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
• Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club present comedian Teddy Carpenter at 7 and 10 p.m.
• The Perry Conticchio Quartet will perform at Gaithersburg’s Arts Barn at 8 p.m.
