• The first Pike & Rose Holiday Tree Lighting will include children’s activities, food, live entertainment and more at 6:30 p.m. in North Bethesda
• Olney Theatre presents Disney’s The Little Mermaid at 7 p.m.
• Guitarist, Oscar Peñas performs in the Mansion at Strathmore at 7:30 p.m.
• Authors Tom Angleberger, Mac Barnett, Cece Bell, Jory Hon and Jon Scieszka talk about their books at the Takoma Park Community Center at 7:30 p.m.
• This is the last weekend to see Montgomery Playhouse’s production of Touch at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn. Show at 8 p.m.
• Bethesda Blues & Jazz present SoundConnection & Rhythm6 at 8 p.m.
• Kensington Arts Theatre presents The Addams Familiy Musical at 8:15 p.m.

• Montgomery County’s 17th Annual Thanksgiving Parade begins at 10 a.m. in downtown Silver Spring. Meet Susan Hoffmann in this behind-the-scenes look at the parade.
• BSO’s Music Box Series for young children continues with All About Bears at the Music Center at Strathmore. Events at 10 and 11:30 a.m.
• Adventure Theatre presents Tiny Tim’s Christmas Carol in Glen Echo Park at 11 a.m., 2 and 4:30 p.m.
• The Heart of Maryland Women’s Barbershop Chorus performs in Rockville at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre at 1 p.m.
• Olney Theatre presents Disney’s The Little Mermaid with two performances at 1:30 and 7 p.m.
• Montgomery College presents “The Road to a Business Career in Television & Film Panel Discussion” at the parilla Performing Arts Center in Rockville at 2 p.m.
• Imagination Stage presents 101 Dalmations at 4 p.m. in Bethesda
• The Montgomery County Road Runners Club invites runners and walkers to participate in a 5K run/walk through the Winter Lights Festival in Seneca Creek State Park at 6:15 p.m. (This will be a timed race for interested runners, but walkers are welcome.)
• This is the last weekend to see Montgomery Playhouse’s production of Touch at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn. Show at 8 p.m.
