Saturday, May 9
- The 12th Annual Bethesda Fine Arts Festival takes place today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. More than 200 artists are featured in this event.
- “Our Sons and Children Matter” workshop led by D. Michael Lyles and Eric Broyles will take place at Norbeck Community Church in Silver Spring from 10 a.m. to noon. The workshop will focus on preparing our children of color for encounters with the police.
- Imagination Stage’s “Saturday Song Circle” for young children features BINGO at 10 a.m.in Bethesda.
- Gold’s Gym hosts “Zumba on the Square” at Rockville Town Square at 10:30 a.m.
- Adventure Theatre-MTC presents The Wonderful Wizard of Oz with performances at 11 a.m., 2 and 4:30 p.m.
- It’s Family Train Day at the Gaithersburg Community Museum from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

- The NIH Chamber Singers celebrate their 20th anniversary with a free concert at the Marilyn J. Praisner Library in Burtonsville at 3 p.m.
