- Wrap the work week up with Gaithersburg’s Zumba in the Park at the City Hall Concert Pavillion at 7 p.m.
- Michelle Dorrance will lead a free lecture and demonstration on the history of tap at BlackRock Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. RSVP is requested.
- Gaithersburg Arts Barn presents The Foreigner, a comedy with twists and turns, at 8 p.m.
- It is time for laughter at AMP by Strathmore when comedians Kevin Meaney and Julia Scotti perform at 8 p.m. in North Bethesda
- Enjoy visiting art studios during the monthly Bethesda Art Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. The free Bethesda Circulator stops within a few blocks of each gallery.
Saturday, May 14
- The Bethesda Fine Arts Festival takes place this weekend in Bethesda’s Woodmont Triangle from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event features fine art, live music and local restaurants.
- Dancer Michelle Dorrance teaches a free community tap dance class at the BlackRock Center for the Arts at 10 a.m. in Germantown. RSVP here.
- Adventure Theatre presents The Emperor’s Nightingale at Glen Echo Park today with performances at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
- The Puppet Co presents Sleeping Beauty at Glen Echo Park at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- The Twinbrook Community Recreation Center is holding an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. This is a great opportunity to explore the center.
- Imagination Stage presents Looking for Roberto Clemente at 1:30 and 4 p.m. in Bethesda.
- Enjoy the Gaithersburg Chorus spring concert at the City Hall Concert Pavillion at 5 p.m. This year’s theme is “For the Beauty of the Earth.”
