- Waverly Street Gallery CityScapes art exhibit this month features photography by members of the North Bethesda Camera Club. Tonight, during the monthly Bethesda Art Walk, the gallery is hosting a reception open to the public from 6 to 9 p.m. The Bethesda Circulator is available with stops close to the open galleries and studios. Plan your visit with this list of participating galleries.
- The regional premiere of Marjorie Prime by playwright Jordan Harrison opened Thursday and runs through April 10. Tonight’s performance is at 7:45 p.m. Please note that Saturday and Sunday’s performances are sold out.
- Singer songwriter Kenny Lattimore performs at Bethesda Blues & Jazz at 8 p.m.
- Saosin featuring Anthony Green perform at The Fillmore Silver Spring at 9 p.m.
Saturday, March 12
- The Gaithersburg Indoor Flea Maket & Baby Bazaar is back at the county fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Gaithersburg’s 16th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rio Washingtonian.
- The Chado Urasenke Tankokai Washington DC Association will demonstrate the Japanese tea ceremony at the Mansion at Strathmore at 10:30 a.m. This free demonstration precedes an afternoon tea in The Shapiro Music Room at Strathmore (which is a ticketed event).
- Kensington Arts Theatre-2nd Stage present Fiddler on the Roof Junior at Gaithersburg Arts Barn at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for children (and their
families) 14 and under. - The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra with Bob Brown Puppets perform Peter & The Wolf at the Music Center at Strathmore. Two performances at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
- Imagination Stage presents Jack and Phil, Slayers of Giants-Inc for children five and up. Today’s performances are at 1:30 and 4 p.m.
- The United States Air Force Langley Winds perform at the Living Faith Lutheran Church in Rockville at 3 p.m.
- Award winning TV producer Andrew Och presents “America’s Frist Ladies: A Walk Through History” at the Gaithersburg Library at 3 p.m. This is a free event, but seating is limited, so registration is advised.
- NIH’s Rock and Roll For Children Foundation’s annual fundraiser takes place at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club at 7 p.m. Must see performers include John Popper, Ricky Byrd, and more.
- Rockville Civic Ballet presents The Odyssey at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
- Olney Theatre presents Marjorie Prime at 7:45 p.m. Tonight’s performance is sold out.
- The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performs an all Beethoven concert at the Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m. Come early for a pre-concert lecture at 6:30 p.m.
- Chuck Redd leads a tribute to Charlie Byrd at AMP by Strathmore at 8 p.m.
Sunday, March 13

- The Montgomery County Literacy Council’s “Scrabble Scramble” events takes place at the Bolger Center in Potoamc from 6 to 9 p.m.
- Metric performs at The Fillmore Silver Spring at 8 p.m.
