- The 20th Annual Kensington Bike Parade lines up at 9:45 a.m. at St. Paul Park. Parade begins at 10 a.m.
- Barnes and Noble’s “Get Pop-Cultured” month-long series today focuses on Magic Treehouse Dinosaurs Before Dark at 10 a.m. and Outlander at 2 p.m.
- The Takoma Park Independence Day Parade begins at 10 a.m.
- Adventure Theatre presents Garfield, The Musical with Cattitude at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in Glen Echo Park.
- The Town of Chevy Chase invites residents to enjoy thier Independence Day Parade and Picnic at the Lawton Community Recreation Center
- Round House Theatre in Bethesda presents the comedy Impossible! A Happenstance Circus at 3 p.m.
- The No BS! Brass Band performs on the front lawn of the BlackRock Center for the Arts in Germantown at 7 p.m. Bring lawn chairs to enjoy this free outdoor concert.
