- Glen Echo’s Art Walk in the Park occurs the first Friday of the month, May through September. Enjoy visiting the open studios and attending various artist demonstrations. Hours are 6 to 8 p.m.
- Be’la Dona perform at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club at 8 p.m.
- Friday Night Live Concert Series at Rockville Town Square features rock by the Billy Coulter Band at 6:30 p.m. Free.
- Wrap the work week up with Gaithersburg’s Zumba in the Park at the City Hall Concert Pavilion at 7 p.m.
- Music legend Patti LaBelle performs at the Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m.
- Olney Theatre presents the award-winning musical Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice at 8 p.m.
Saturday, July 2:
- Sandy Spring Museum’s eight resident artists are holding an open house today from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is an opportunity to meet the artists, find an unique item of artwork or commission a piece.
- The BlackRock Center for the Arts free summer concert series is back with two performances tonight. Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players at 6 p.m. and Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds at 7:30 p.m.
- The FC Kansas City on the Washington Spirit in women’s professional soccer at the Maryland Soccerplex at 7 p.m. in Boyds.
- Newmyer Flyer Presents A Southern Soul Tribute at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club at 8 p.m. The show includes 25 soulful performers from the DMV paying tribute to music legend Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Eddie Floyd , Sam & Dave. The Staples Singers, Carla Thomas and more.
- Olney Theatre presents the award-winning musical Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice at 2 and 8 p.m.
Sunday, July 3:
- Take a tour of the Kingsley Schoolhouse from 1 to 4 p.m. The restored one-room schoolhouse is located in the Little Bennet Regional Park in Clarksburg.
- Join a naturalist every Sunday to learn about the animals who live in and around Wheaton Regional Park at 1:30 p.m.
- The Chris Grasso Trio with guest artists Nicki Parrott and Chuck Redd pay tribute to Blossom Dearie at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club at 1 p.m.
- Olney Theatre presents the award-winning musical Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice at 8 p.m.
