Saturday, January 16

- Montgomery College’s Saturday Morning Children’s Series presents Aesop’s Fables at the Rockville campus at 11 a.m.
- Blue Sky Puppet Theater presents If Pigs Could Fly at the Davis Library in Bethesda at 1 p.m. Recommended for children ages 3 to 11.
- Strathmore’s Art in Motion exhibit in the Mansion runs now through Feb. 21. Tour the exhibit with the curator at 1 p.m. The tour is free and no reservations are required.

- The National Philharmonic performs Bach Violin Concerto No. 2 at The Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m. Children ages 7 to 17 may attend for free, but tickets must be reserved through the Ticket Office.

- Join Rev. Abhi Janamanchi & Montgomery County Interfaith leaders for an interfaith, multicultural service to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Service begins at 3 p.m. at the Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda.
- The dance troupe Step Afrika! performs at The Music Center at Strathmore at 4 p.m.
- The Atlantic String Quartet performs at the Mansion at Strathmore at 4 p.m.
