• Ankh Repertory Theatre’s production of A Change Gon’ Come tells the story of Harriet Tubman. Tonight’s performance at Gaithersburg Arts Barn is at 8 p.m.
• Secret Society performs at AMP by Strathmore at 8 p.m. in North Bethesda.
• Bethesda Blues & Jazz present Washington area based singer songwriter Mary Ann Redmond at 8 p.m.
• Rockville Little Theatre presents the comedy Lend Me a Tenor at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater in Rockville at 8 p.m.
• Hip-hop artist T.I. performs at Fillmore Silver Spring at 8 p.m.

Saturday, January 16

• How will you serve this weekend? The Rock Creek Conservancy hosts dozens of events in the area for trash cleanups, removal of invasive species and trail maintenance. This map shows locations of the sites.
• Kefa Cafe in Silver Spring invites the community to celebrate their reopening with a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. in Silver Spring
• Montgomery College’s Saturday Morning Children’s Series presents Aesop’s Fables at the Rockville campus at 11 a.m.
• Blue Sky Puppet Theater presents If Pigs Could Fly at the Davis Library in Bethesda at 1 p.m. Recommended for children ages 3 to 11.
• Strathmore’s Art in Motion exhibit in the Mansion runs now through Feb. 21. Tour the exhibit with the curator at 1 p.m. The tour is free and no reservations are required.
• Ankh Repertory Theatre’s production of A Change Gon’ Come tells the story of Harriet Tubman. Tonight’s performance at Gaithersburg Arts Barn is at 8 p.m.
• Rockville Little Theatre presents the comedy Lend Me a Tenor at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater in Rockville at 8 p.m.
• The National Philharmonic performs Bach Violin Concerto No. 2 at The Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m. Children ages 7 to 17 may attend for free, but tickets must be reserved through the Ticket Office.

Sunday, January 17

• Ankh Repertory Theatre’s production of A Change Gon’ Come tells the story of Harriet Tubman. Today’s performance at Gaithersburg Arts Barn is at 2 p.m.
• Rockville Little Theatre presents the comedy Lend Me a Tenor at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theater in Rockville at 2 p.m.
• Join Rev. Abhi Janamanchi & Montgomery County Interfaith leaders for an interfaith, multicultural service to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Service begins at 3 p.m. at the Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church in Bethesda.
• The dance troupe Step Afrika! performs at The Music Center at Strathmore at 4 p.m.
• The Atlantic String Quartet performs at the Mansion at Strathmore at 4 p.m.
• Jazz trumpeter Christian Scott performs at AMP by Strathmore at 8 p.m. in North Bethesda
