Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture is offering discounts and free activities to furloughed federal workers.

Friday, Jan. 25

Aretha Franklin Tribute: Shayna Blass and Ines Nassara sing “Son of a Preacher Man,” “A Natural Woman,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” and other beloved classics Aretha Franklin made famous. The Brothers Grimm Excellent Adventure The Landless Theatre Company, in partnership with Arts on the Green, present their favorite stories including Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs, The Frog Prince, Little Red Riding Hood, and more. Recommended for ages 4 and up. National Philharmonic: The National Philharmonic perform Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 in E minor led by Piotr Gajewski and featuring pianist Haochen Zhang.  At the Music Center at Strathmore.
