We Love Weekends: Montgomery County Planner for Jan. 11-Jan. 13

Montgomery County Councilmember Tom Hucker is hosting a community potluck to support federal employees and contractors impacted by the shutdown Friday, Jan. 11 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at Blair High School cafeteria. Federal workers, contractors and their families may attend for free. Other supporters and neighbors should bring a dish to pass to attend. Live music will be hosted by Joe Uehlein of the U-Liners. Learn more and RSVP here.

Glen Echo Park hosts opening receptions to three new art exhibits Saturday, Jan. 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. The public is invited to meet the artists and enjoy the new exhibits.

Do you have the shutdown blues? BlackRock Center for the Arts is offering $5 general admission tickets for the Johnny Rawls concert Friday and the Potomac Fever and The Rock Creek Singers concert Saturday. Guests must present a federal employee or federal contractor ID for the discount.
