Gaithersburg Water Park

The city of Gaithersburg has released attendance figures for opening weekend at the Water Park at Bohrer Park and despite the beautiful weather it was not a record-setting weekend.

The total opening weekend attendance for the Water Park was 2,795 visitors, which compares to 693 in 2013, 4,660 in 2012, and 3,874 in 2011.

According to a Gaithersburg parks and recreation official, attendance more than doubled each day of the holiday weekend. The daily breakdown included 303 visitors on Saturday, 688 visitors on Sunday, and 1,804 visitors on Memorial Day.
