Water Main Break, Road Closure
UPDATED A 10-inch water main break has resulted in a road closure at Linden Lane near Monroe Street in Silver Spring.
It happened on July 6 at 8:30 p.m., according to Lyn Riggins, a spokesperson for Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC). Riggins said about 22 accounts are impacted by the water main break. She said the break occurred on a neighborhood street. The exact cause of the break is unknown at this point, Riggins said.
“It’s a tough repair,” said Riggins, who said WSSC hopes to have the water back on by noon today (July 7).
