Water Main Break in Wheaton (PHOTO)
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) crews were called to the scene of an 8-inch water main break in the 2700 block of Henderson Avenue in Wheaton on Friday afternoon.
WSSC Spokesperson Ayoka Blandford said the break occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 4.
Water service was restored to customers by 8 p.m.
REPAIR UPDATE: 6ft of 8″ pipe, 2 sleeves & 2ft of 3/4″ copper later… Repair is done & water is on at Henderson Ave. Now filling the hole.
