Water Main Break Closes SB Connecticut Ave. at Georgia Ave. (PHOTO)
UPDATED, Nov. 10, 3 p.m. – Repairs have been made to the water main break in Aspen Hill and the road is now being fixed, according to the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission’s Twitter account.

UPDATED A water main break around 5 p.m. on Nov. 9 has closed southbound Connecticut Avenue at Georgia Avenue. Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) crews worked overnight to shut down the water main and to begin fixing it. According to WSSC Spokesperson Lyn Riggins, the ten-inch water pipe is 48-years-old. Motorists are advised to avoid the area today as repairs continue.
