Returning season ticket holder seats will be on hold through Dec.15.  Buying seats now also gets you a 2015 Spirit scarf . Early Bird pricing expires January 15.

Spirit supporters will get to see several new faces to the team. The Spirit signed Liverpool Ladies midfielder Amanda Da Costa; Boston Breakers midfielder Joanna Lohman; defender Katherine Reynolds and midfielder Angela Salem.

In 2012, Da Costa signed with Liverpool Ladies in the FA Women’s Super League (FAWSL). In her two years with the team, the 25-year-old has played a key role in Liverpool winning back-to-back championships and claiming its first appearance in the UEFA Champions League. Da Costa made over 40 appearances for the FAWSL Champions, often as an attacking midfielder, according to a Spirit press release.

Da Costa, a native of Katonah, New York, enjoyed an exceptional career at Florida State University as a four-year starter before being drafted by the Washington Freedom of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS). Shortly after she was drafted, WPS folded and Amanda signed with Boston Breakers in the Women’s Premier Soccer League Elite.

Lohman, 32, played two seasons with the Boston Breakers, scoring three goals in 39 total appearances between 2013 and 2014. The Penn State alum was waived by the Breakers at the end of the 2014 season and was then selected off of the NWSL Waiver Wire by the Spirit. Prior to her NWSL career, the Washington, D.C. native had multiple stints in the D.C. area, playing for the Washington Freedom and D.C. United Women, according to the release.

The Washington Spirit acquired  Reynolds and Salem in a trade with the Western New York Flash. In exchange, the Spirit has sent midfielder Jordan Angeli and a first round pick (6th overall) in the 2015 NWSL College Draft to the Flash.

“’After a great 2014 season and narrowly missing out on playing in a Championship game, we are determined to take the steps we need to compete for an NWSL title,” Spirit General Manager Mark Parsons said in a release. “Bringing in top players and true professionals like Katherine and Angela is a huge leap for us and I am very excited to welcome them to the club.”

Reynolds, 27, played for the Western New York Flash for three years, winning a WPSL Elite championship in 2012 and the NWSL Shield in 2013.

Salem, 26, also played for the Flash since 2012, winning a WPSL Elite championship in 2012 and the NWSL Shield in 2013.
