Walgreens Teams Up with Veteran Affairs to Offer Free Flu Shots for Veterans
Seasonal influenza (flu) viruses can be detected year-round but the virus is most common during the winter and fall, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The Department of Veterans has partnered with Walgreens Pharmacies nationwide to offer veterans currently enrolled in the VA healthcare system free flu vaccinations, according to a news release.
To be eligible for a free flu shot, veterans should present a Veterans Identification and a photo ID at any participating Walgreens.
Vaccinations will be available from now until Mar. 31.
