Displaced Workers Bill (Video)

Surrounded by union supporters and standing next to Council member Nancy Navarro at a July 30th press conference, Montgomery County Council member Valerie Ervin explains why she is sponsoring the Displaced Service Workers legislation (bill 19-12) in this video clip. She also expresses her frustration that the bill was removed from the Council’s July 31 agenda even though she says a majority of Council members would vote to approve the bill.

The bill is now scheduled for the Council’s Sept. 18 agenda.
