UrbanArias Performs ‘Blind Dates’ at Strathmore (Video)

The Friday Night Eclectic series continues on Friday, March 22 with UrbanArias in the Strathmore Mansion at 8:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $22, cash only. Advance tickets are $20 can be purchased online at Strathmore website. UrbanArias brings a hilarious evening of Mini-Opera and Improvisation to Strathmore. The 90-minute concert will feature three staged, short operas, including Gabriel Kahane’s “Craigslistlieder” – songs set to actual, must-be-heard-to-be-believed Craigslist ads set to music. Additionally, the singers and pianist will create 2-minute operas on the spot, with improvised text and music, based on plot suggestions given by the audience. It’s interactive opera!
