‘Unexpected Delays’ Pushes Back Topgolf Germantown Opening

Folks eager for the opening of Topgolf Germantown will have to wait just a little bit longer. Exactly how long is not clear.

A spokesperson for Topgolf told MyMCMedia, “Unfortunately, recent inclement weather has caused a few unexpected delays in the final construction of Topgolf Germantown.  Because safety and, of course, creating amazing moments is our top priority, we will be postponing our upcoming preview event so we can safely put the final touches on our new, technology-enhanced venue.”

The date for the grand opening for the general public has yet to be announced.

The 65,000 square-foot, three-level entertainment venue will be the fourth Topgolf in the DMV and the first in Montgomery County. The National Harbor location, which opened last June, was the first Topgolf in the state of Maryland. Alexandria and Ashburn are the other two locations in the area. Baltimore is scheduled to open a Topgolf later this year.
