Uncorked Wine and Music Festival Set for Aug. 23 in Rockville

Rockville Uncorked 3You can enjoy wine crafted at Maryland vineyards, cooking demonstrations by local chefs and live music at the Uncorked Wine and Music Festival on Saturday, Aug. 23, from noon-6 p.m. at Rockville’s Town Center.

Admission is free and includes concerts and cooking demonstrations. Wine tasting is $15 and includes a commemorative wine glass for the first 3,000 paid attendees (must be 21 or older).

New this year, tickets can be purchased online using a credit card. At the event, ticket booths will only accept cash. The wine tasting sales booth opens at noon on Maryland Avenue near Gold’s Gym and the American Tap Room.

Fifteen Maryland wineries and vineyards will participate at this year’s festival.

Chefs providing cooking demonstrations include Jeff Eng from Clyde’s Tower Oaks Lodge (1-2 p.m.) and Brian and Sandy Patterson from L’Academie de Cuisine (3-4 p.m.). The cooking demo stage will be on Maryland Avenue near Gold’s Gym in town center.

Uncorked will also feature live music from six bands on two stages throughout the day. Performers include The Digits, Mary Ann Redmond and Chopteeth Afro Funk Band. Stages will be located at in the Town Square Plaza (near the library) and at the intersection of Maryland Avenue and Middle Lane.
