U.S. Olympic Dive Team Trains Locally

The U.S. Olympic Dive Team was training at the Eunice Kennedy and Sargent Shriver Aquatic Center for four days -July 12 – July 15 – before the eleven athletes boarded a plane on Sunday (July 15) to London for the summer games.

The team is comprised of Katie Bell, David Boudia, Kelci Bryant, Chris Colwill, Troy Dumais, Kristian Ipsen, Abby Johnston, Cassidy Krug, Christina Loukas, Nick McCrory and Brittany Viola.

Also traveling with the team: Greg Louganis who is considered the greatest diver of all time.

Team U.S.A. also took part in a sell out exhibition, organized by the Montgomery Dive Club, at the Germantown Indoor Swim Center on the evening of July 14.
